My first day...

Practical Shooting at Armscor

I recently bought a .45 caliber gun for practical shooting. This was my first day at the shooting range and I was scared like a child trying to ride a bicycle for the first time.

Fortunately, it went quite well. I learned how to hold a gun and use it to basically hit a target. I also learned some safety precautions when holding a gun and I managed to pick up some shooters lingo...and of course, I also fired a few rounds.

I'm scheduled for more training on Thursday :)

MAGFI 2008

In 1990, I co-founded a group called The Magicians' Foundation Inc or MAGFI. My co-founders were David Lim, Mimmo Tapiador and Danny Luchavez. MAGFI is without a doubt the best magicians group in the Philippines and the group that has produced the most number of sought after Magicians in the country today. Magfi eventually became the first International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) Ring in Manila and was officially bestowed with the prestigious Superior Quality Ring Award from the I.B.M.


The group has been blessed with great leaders in the past. Past Presidents' list include David "Dave" Lim, Enrique "Burik" Nadela, Danny Luchavez, Amos Galvez, Nap Bargas Perez, Ronaldo "Doc" Moraleta, Demetrio "Master Dem" Cuizon and Allan "Aldino" Rondina the immediate past President.

This year, Magfi has a new beginning. A new leadership under it's new President, my friend Rannie Raymundo. Rannie has a lot of things planned for the group as well as for all it's members.

I ordered a new body from Braylu

I actually won this body in Ebay and since the seller is Buzz James of Braylu Creations...I decided to order the hands and legs too to save on shipping charges and get some discounts from them as well

Buzz James gave some great discounts and he shipped the items same day I made my PayPal payment.

The Axtell Shark

A very nice puppet from Steve Axtell... I wanted to add this to my gang of puppets but I had to make way for my new Axtell Big Baby and some new magic stuff so I had to sell this one...

Sold to my pal Ony Carcamo :) He knows a killer puppet when he sees one :)

Pavlov Pupkins

This is a great looking puppet from Pavlov Puppets :)So easy to manipulate and it immediatley comes alive even with some basic manipulation.

Schrum Figure

I was scheduled to purchase a brand new illusion for my act when I was offered to buy this new figure. I guess the new illusion will have to wait :) *This is a one of a kind figure made by Mr. Shannon Schrum of Schrum Studios as verified by Mr Schrum in his email to me.

A follow-up email stated "It was made in 1987 and was used by our own company unitl it was sold a few years ago." - Mr Shannon Schrum, Schrum Studios

I'll most probably play with this figure for a little while but will end up selling it to any interested buyer with an interesting offer.

It has raising eyebrows and side to side moving eyes aside from the standard moving mouth of course :) It has a wooden body and latex hands from Steve Axtell of Axtell Expressions.

I requested a letter of authenticity from Mr Schrum and he sent one already bearing the company logo of Schrum Studios and of course signed by Mr Shannon Schrum :)

Vent Improv is a very challenging routine considering the fact that the vents need to think fast while they manipulate their hard figures/dummies/puppets.

JC Parker of Viva Hot Babes

I was scheduled to perform my Ventrillusion act at the NBI party last December 20 and JC Parker of Viva Hot Babes was calling out for a couple of volunteers and for some reason, I managed to get myself on stage not knowing that I will be requested to kiss her on her tummy...cool!!! I was actually left without a choice and did not want to offend the pretty lady so I did kiss her. She was asking for a kiss on her booby but I had to decline on that one...sorry JC. That particular scene ended with me being kissed by JC on my cheek...sayang ala ko nga sa tummy rin eh :)

Ventrillusion at the Makati Shangri-La Staff Party

We had a great night of VENTRILLUSION (Ventriloquism and Illusion) at the Makati Shangri-La staff party held last December 17 at the City Garden Penthouse. This gig was booked via the efforts of my pal Eric Uy who happens to be one of the best balloon sculptors in town.

The Instant Puppets... two mask routine was a riot...
